Town of Lindens

On the shores of the country's largest lake system, Lappeenrata serves as the economic and cultural center of southeast Finland.
Visiting Saimaa Canal and Imatra Waterfall will get you outdoors. Visit Sandcastle Lappeenranta and Church of the Intercession of the Mother of God for their historical value. Get out of town with these interesting Lappeenranta side-trips: Imatra (De tre korsens kyrka, Detachment Kuhlmey, &more), Ruokolahti (Ruokolahden Kellotapuli, Ruokolahden Kirkko, &more) and Parikkala (Parikkalan kirkko, Siikalahti Wetland, &more).
