St Lucia — 2 nights

The small coastal town of St Lucia provides travelers with a base for exploring the area's wetlands park, a World Heritage Site of lakes and rich, diverse wildlife.
Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Sat): see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour. Keep things going the next day: contemplate the waterfront views at Saint Lucia Estuary, then stroll through Emdoneni Cheetah project, and then pick up some local products at Zamimpilo Community Market.

A gateway to the popular Kruger National Park, Hazyview boasts an enviable location in South Africa's lowveld, surrounded by a staggering number of both natural and historic sites.
Escape the urban bustle at Bourkes' Luck Potholes and Elephant Whispers. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve and Safaris. Get out of town with these interesting Hazyview side-trips: Graskop (Lisbon Falls & Wonder View) and Mary Shire Falls (in Sabie).
