Seoul

— 14 nights
One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Get some historical perspective at Bongeunsa Temple and Changgyeonggung Palace. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Bukhansan National Park and Leeum Samsung Museum of Art. Change things up with these side-trips from Seoul: Chuncheon Myeongdong Dakgalbi Street (in Chuncheon) and Suwon (Dongbukgongsimdon, Hwaseong Fortress, &more). There's still lots to do: browse the range of quality goods at Shinsegae Dept. Store Main, admire the masterpieces at National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul (branch), take a stroll through Seochon Sejong Maeul Alley, and visit Ihwa Mural Village.

To see reviews and other tourist information, use the Seoul online sightseeing planner.

If you are flying in from Portugal, the closest major aiports are Gimpo International Airport, Incheon International Airport and Osan Air Base. In November, daytime highs in Seoul are 13°C, while nighttime lows are 3°C.
