The country's second city, Cebu City boasts a number of interesting colonial buildings, thriving commercial areas, and historic temples.
On the 28th (Fri), don't miss a visit to Fo Guang Shan Chu Un Temple. Keep things going the next day: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Taoist Temple, steep yourself in history at Magellan's Cross, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral, and finally shop like a local with Ayala Mall.

Fly from Cebu City to Boracay in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and bus; or do a combination of ferry and bus. Expect a bit cooler weather when traveling from Cebu City in December: highs in Boracay hover around 32°C, while lows dip to 28°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sat) so you can travel to Manila.

Start off your visit on the 6th (Sun): appreciate the extensive heritage of Intramuros, then look for gifts at SM Mall of Asia, and then steep yourself in history at Fort Santiago. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: admire the masterpieces at San Agustin Church, explore the wealth of natural beauty at Rizal Park, then browse the different shops at Greenbelt Mall, and finally hunt for treasures at Salcedo Saturday Market.

Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel to Coron.

Coron tourism has developed around its dive spots, with coral reefs and 10 preserved Japanese underwater shipwrecks to explore.
Bring the kids along to Scuba & Snorkeling and Banol Beach. Step out of the city life by going to Kayangan Lake and Coral Garden. Next up on the itinerary: identify plant and animal life at Sunken Japanese Wrecks and take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mt Tapyas.
