Founded in 1535 by Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro, Lima represents an interesting blend of modern attractions and preserved colonial architecture, much of it clustered in the World Heritage-listed city center.
Kick off your visit on the 28th (Tue): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Iglesia y Convento de San Francisco and then ponder the design of Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor). Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: get engrossed in the history at Museo Larco, take a stroll through Barranco, contemplate the long history of Huaca Pucllana, then take a stroll through Miraflores, then walk around Circuito Magico Del Agua, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of San Pedro Church (Iglesia de San Pedro).

Santiago, Chile to Lima is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone difference moving from Chile Time (CLT) to Peru Time (PET) is minus 1 hour. A port town largely devoted to tourism, Paracas serves as a popular starting point for exploration of Peru's south coast.
Start off your visit on the 31st (Fri): tour the pleasant surroundings at Supay Beach, then stroll through La Catedral, then kick back and relax at Playa Atenas, and finally step off the mainland to explore Islas Ballestas.
