Venture out of the city with trips to Multnomah Falls (in Bridal Veil) and Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum (in McMinnville). Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Attractions like Space Needle and The Museum of Flight make great kid-friendly stops. There's much more to do: take a stroll through Pike Place Market, admire the masterpieces at Seattle Art Museum, find something for the whole family at Seattle Great Wheel, and enjoy the sand and surf at Alki Beach.

In Olympic National Park, ancient rainforests and ocean tidal pools at lower elevations contrast with wildflower-filled alpine meadows and snowcapped peaks.
Kids will enjoy Ruby Beach and Rialto Beach. Step out of Olympic National Park with an excursion to Quinault Big Spruce Tree in Quinault--about 1h 15 min away. There's still lots to do: take a memorable drive along Hurricane Ridge, witness a stunning natural landmark at Sol Duc Hot Springs, take a peaceful walk through Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center, and stroll through Sol Duc Falls.
