Longyearbyen, Spitsbergen

A coal-mining town, Longyearbyen draws visitors interested in viewing the northern lights.
On the 12th (Tue), see the winter wonderland with Ski & Snow Tours, examine the collection at Svalbard Museum, and then pause for some serene contemplation at Svalbard Kirke. Keep things going the next day: see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour.
