Kick off your visit on the 8th (Wed): look for all kinds of wild species at The Parrot Place and then take in the dramatic scenery at Rainbow Falls.

Taipa-Mangonui is one name given to a string of small resort settlements in the far north of New Zealand's North Auckland Peninsula, close to the base of the Aupouri Peninsula. Start off your visit on the 9th (Thu): trek along Taumarumaru Scenic Reserve Walk and then enjoy the sand and surf at Taupo Bay.
