15 days in Lisbon & Carvoeiro Itinerary

Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.

Change things up with a short trip to Quinta da Regaleira in Sintra (about 36 minutes away). There's still lots to do: get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Lisbon Oceanarium, contemplate the long history of Castelo de S. Jorge, don't miss a visit to Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco), and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mosteiro dos Jeronimos.

Aberdeen, UK to Lisbon is an approximately 8.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and train; or do a combination of car and ferry. Traveling from Aberdeen in March, things will get a bit warmer in Lisbon: highs are around 20°C and lows about 10°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Wed) so you can drive to Carvoeiro.

Venture out of the city with trips to Monchique (Off-Road Tours & Montes da Fóia). Plan for a day of cool, family-friendly fun on the 24th (Thu) at Slide & Splash - Parque Aquatico - Water Slide Park.

You can drive from Lisbon to Carvoeiro in 3 hours. Other options are to take a bus; or take a train. In March, daytime highs in Carvoeiro are 21°C, while nighttime lows are 11°C. On the 27th (Sun), you'll travel back home.
