Butha-Buthe

Founded in 1869 by the British, Lesotho's main city--Maseru--lies on the border with South Africa on a plateau surrounded by red hills.
When in Maseru, make a side trip to see Ha Kome Cave Houses in Teyateyaneng, approximately Teyateyaneng away. There's lots more to do: admire the engineering at Katse Dam, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Maluti Mountains, shop like a local with Lesotho Co-operative Handicrafts, and browse the exhibits of National Museum.
