Known for its wide range of restaurants and traditional pubs, Kenmare sits along two major Irish tourist routes, the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara.
Explore Kenmare's surroundings by going to Bantry House & Garden (in Bantry), Gougane Barra National Forest Park (in Gougane Barra) and Glengarriff (Garinish Island & Beara Way). Spend the 1st (Sun) exploring the striking scenery along Slea Head Drive. On the 11th (Wed), hike the day away at The Dingle Way. There's lots more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Skellig Michael, head outdoors with Ring of Beara, steep yourself in history at Stone Circle, and relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.

For photos, other places to visit, traveler tips, and other tourist information, read Kenmare trip planner.

In December, daily temperatures in Kenmare can reach 12°C, while at night they dip to 7°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Sun) so you can travel back home.
