Beirut, Lebanon to Hiroshima is an approximately 20-hour combination of flight and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 7 hours traveling from Beirut to Hiroshima. In September, Hiroshima is a bit cooler than Beirut - with highs of 32°C and lows of 24°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 3rd (Thu) early enough to catch the train to Himeji.

The castle around which the city of Himeji has developed represents one of the best preserved in the country, and has been designated as a national treasure and a World Heritage Site.
On the 4th (Fri), take in nature's colorful creations at Koko-en, don't miss a visit to Himeji Castle, and then stroll around Kunimi no Mori Park. Here are some ideas for day two: head outdoors with Matsue Swimming Beach and then take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Takamikura.

You can take a train from Hiroshima to Himeji in 1.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or do a combination of bus and train. In September, daytime highs in Himeji are 31°C, while nighttime lows are 26°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sat) so you can catch the train to Kyoto.

Explore Kyoto's surroundings by going to Osaka (Imperial Hotel Plaza Osaka & Ninja-Do) and Dotombori District (in Dotombori). Traveling by train from Himeji to Kyoto takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Expect slightly colder evenings in Kyoto when traveling from Himeji in September, with lows around 23°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 9th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Kanazawa.

When traveling from Kyoto in September, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in Kanazawa: temperatures range from 30°C by day to 21°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Fri) to allow enough time to take a train to Tokyo.
