Daughter of the Baltic

Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Change things up with a short trip to Nuuksio National Park in Espoo (about 34 minutes away). There's lots more to do: learn about all things military at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, take in the spiritual surroundings of Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali), admire the landmark architecture of Temppeliaukio Church, and admire the masterpieces at Kansallisgalleria.

Prague, Czech Republic to Helsinki is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train, bus, and ferry. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Prague to Helsinki due to the time zone difference. In September, Helsinki is a bit cooler than Prague - with highs of 19°C and lows of 8°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 30th (Fri) so you can go by car to Turku.

Turku — 2 nights

Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
On the 1st (Sat), take an in-depth tour of Turku Castle, get engrossed in the history at Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova, then let the kids burn off some steam at Adventure Park, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Turku Cathedral. Keep things going the next day: explore the landscape on two wheels at Bike Rental - by Carfield, then walk around Alppiruusupuisto, then find something for the whole family at Vaski Adventure Island, and finally cast your line with VMB Fishing.

Finland's third largest city, Tampere boasts an array of cultural offerings and a lively music scene.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Mon): test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms, then take in panoramic vistas at Pyynikki Park and Observation Tower, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Tampereen Tuomiokirkko, and finally enjoy breathtaking views from Haralanharju Tower.
