A trip to San Jose, the capital, commercial center, and cultural hub of Costa Rica, gives you a chance to experience the lively atmosphere and rich cultural past of this vibrant country.
Start off your visit on the 6th (Sun): get engrossed in the history at National Museum (Museo Nacional), take an in-depth tour of Jade Museum, then explore the world behind art at Museo de Arte Costarricense, and finally get a taste of the local shopping with Galeria Namu. Here are some ideas for day two: explore the world behind art at Precolumbian Gold Museum, take in the spiritual surroundings of Our Lady of the Angels Basilica (Basilica de Nuestra Senora de Los Angeles), and then stop by J.LANG Atelier & Showroom.

A long-established beach community, Playas del Coco has developed a reputation as a favored spot for young travelers and locals to let loose by the sea.
Start off your visit on the 11th (Fri): meet some fierce fish with a shark diving experience and then stroll through Playa Hermosa. On your second day here, take a memorable tour with Tours.
