Chicago, USA to Tamarindo is an approximately 9-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and bus; or drive. In February, Tamarindo is much warmer than Chicago - with highs of 93°F and lows of 71°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Sun) so you can drive to Playa Samara.

You can drive from Tamarindo to Playa Samara in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. February in Playa Samara sees daily highs of 93°F and lows of 71°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 27th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Monteverde.

Monteverde is all about natural attractions, not surprising for an eco-tourism hotspot known for its cloud forests and rich diversity of animal life.
On the 27th (Tue), appreciate the extensive heritage of Ecological Sanctuary, take in the views from Santa Elena Skywalk, and then meet the residents at The Bat Jungle. Keep things going the next day: look for gifts at Hummingbird Gallery and then look for all kinds of wild species at Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve.
