Known as a ski resort town, Aspen's history goes back to its roots as a silver-mining village tucked away in an isolated valley of the Rocky Mountains.
You've now added Glenwood Hot Springs Pool to your itinerary. Venture out of the city with trips to Glenwood Springs (Hanging Lake Trail & River Rafting & Tubing). There's still lots to do: take in the awesome beauty at Maroon Bells, take a memorable drive along Independence Pass, trek along Difficult Creek Trail, and pause for some photo ops at The John Denver Sanctuary.

Originally built as a base for Vail Ski Resort, the town of Vail has blossomed into its own destination, but still has less than 6,000 permanent residents.
Mount Evans Scenic Byway has been added to your itinerary. Start off your visit on the 11th (Thu): admire all the interesting features of Mount Evans Scenic Byway, then admire the natural beauty at Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, then take in the pleasant sights at Vail Pass Path, and finally trot along with a tour on horseback. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: test your team's savvy at popular escape rooms, make a trip to Main Street, and then let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour.

While traveling from Aspen, expect slightly colder days and about the same nights in Vail, ranging from highs of 65°F to lows of 49°F.
