Turin — 13 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get outdoors at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Cascate del Rutor. Explore hidden gems such as Castello di Issogne and Castello Reale di Sarre. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Lago Blu (in Breuil-Cervinia), Castello di Verres (in Verres) and Castello di Fenis (in Fenis). There's still lots to do: explore the ancient world of Criptoportico Forense, pause for some serene contemplation at Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso, don't miss a visit to Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini, and contemplate the waterfront views at Lago d'Arpy.

In August, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 28°C, while at night they dip to 20°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 18th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
