Town Too Tough to Die

Founded in 1877 as a mining camp, Tombstone became one of the most storied towns of the "Wild West." As one of the last frontier boomtowns in the United States, Tombstone prospered between 1880 and 1890, attracting cattle rustlers and outlaws.
Kids will enjoy Double R Ranch and Kartchner Caverns State Park. There's still lots to do: get engrossed in the history at O.K. Corral, look for gifts at Johnny One Dog's Tombstone Sarsaparilla, discover the riches below the earth's surface at Queen Mine Tour, and explore the different monuments and memorials at Boothilll Graveyard.

Willcox — 2 nights

Willcox is a city in Cochise County, Arizona, United States. Kick off your visit on the 6th (Thu): stroll through Heart of Rocks and then appreciate the history behind Chiricahua National Monument. Mount Lemmon — 2 nights

Most visitors take a trip to Mount Lemmon to visit Summerhaven, a small town providing a summer residence for many.
Start off your visit on the 8th (Sat): look for gifts at Mt Lemmon General Store and then see the sky in a new way at Mt. Lemmon SkyCenter Observatory. On the 9th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: stroll around Oracle State Park and then get curious at Biosphere 2.

One of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country, Tucson is a city on a cultural crossroads, with European, Native American, Mexican, and Asian residents blending and sometimes conflicting with one another.
