Busan

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Kick off your visit on the 11th (Mon): get great views at Taejongdae, then stop by Busan Gamcheon Culture Village, and then walk around Yongdusan Park. Keep things going the next day: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Haedong Yonggungsa, then stroll through Haeundae Beach, and then kick back and relax at Gwangalli Beach.

Sydney, Australia to Busan is an approximately 16-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Sydney to Busan. Traveling from Sydney in April, expect Busan to be a bit cooler, temps between 22°C and 10°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Kick off your visit on the 13th (Wed): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bulguksa Temple and then appreciate the history behind Seokguram.

Island of the Gods

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
Take a break from the city and head to Seongsan Ilchulbong and Manjanggul Cave. Gwaneumsa Temple and Trick Art Museum Korea are good opportunities to explore the local culture. When in Jeju, make a side trip to see Cheonjiyeon Falls in Seogwipo, approximately Seogwipo away. Spend the 14th (Thu) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. The adventure continues: kick back and relax at Hamdeok Beach and step off the mainland to explore Udo.

Seoul

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
For shopping fun, head to Myeongdong Shopping Street or Namdaemun Market. Get some historical perspective at Gyeongbokgung Palace and DMZ Haemaru Village. In April in Seoul, expect temperatures between 20°C during the day and 9°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Sat) to allow enough time to fly back home.
