Bovec

In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.

Ajdovščina

Ajdovščina is a small town with a population of about 6,700, located in the Vipava Valley, during Italian rule (1918–1943, nominally lasted to 1947), the style of the town does not resemble that of a typical Italian town. Kick off your visit on the 30th (Fri): take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Martin's Church - Žiri, then explore the historical opulence of Gewerkenegg Castle, then steep yourself in history at Anthony's Shaft Mining Museum, and finally make a trip to Idrija Kamšt. On your second day here, appreciate the history behind Franja Partisan Hospital and then enjoy the sand and surf at Natural Bathing Place Lajšt.

Piran

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
