Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
Kick off your visit on the 13th (Thu): take in the spiritual surroundings of Piran Minorite Monastery, learn more about the world around you at Mediadom Pyrhani, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. Francis of Assisi, then admire the striking features of Benečanka Venetian House, then stop by GourmIstra, and finally see the interesting displays at Sergej Mašera Maritime Museum. On your second day here, enjoy the sand and surf at Strunjan Nature Reserve, examine the collection at Koper Regional Museum, then admire the striking features of Piazza Tito, then ponder the design of Da Ponte Fountain, and finally contemplate the long history of Muda Gate.
