Seoul — 13 nights

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Get some historical perspective at Gyeongbokgung Palace and Hwaseong Fortress. Take a break from the city and head to Cheonggyecheon Stream and Ilsan Lake Park. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Seoul: Nami Island (in Chuncheon), Paju (The Third Tunnel & DMZ Haemaru Village) and Hwaseong Haenggung Palace (in Suwon). Spend the 1st (Mon) exploring nature at Bukhansan National Park. Pack the 8th (Mon) with family-friendly diversions at Lotte World. There's much more to do: visit Insadong, take an in-depth tour of National Museum of Korea, take in nature's colorful creations at Namsan Park, and admire the landmark architecture of Changdeokgung Palace.
