Situated at the confluence of three rivers, including the Danube, Passau is steeped in religious history but has adopted a modern commercial outlook.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Walhalla and Golf Museum. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at St. Stephen's Cathedral and Glasmuseum Passau. Venture out of the city with trips to Regensburg (St. Emmeram Church, Old Stone Bridge, & more), Wasserkapelle (in Deggendorf) and Asam-Kirche Mariae Himmelfahrt (in Aldersbach). And it doesn't end there: steep yourself in history at Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall), examine the collection at Brennereimuseum- Distillery Museum, pause for some serene contemplation at Pilgrimage Church and Pauline Fathers' Monastery, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Kloster Niedernburg.

For traveler tips, maps, more things to do, and more tourist information, you can read our Passau holiday site .

If you are flying in from Egypt, the closest major airports are Flughafen München-Riem, Nuremberg Airport and Memmingen Allgau Airport. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 12th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
