The village of Chamarel represents a small settlement surrounded by big attractions.
Visit Le Morne Beach and Tamarin Bay for some beach relaxation. Get some cultural insight at Le Morne Brabant and Crystal Rock. Go for a jaunt from Chamarel to Bel Ombre to see Bel Ombre Nature Reserve about 30 minutes away. There's still lots to do: take in the dramatic natural features at Chamarel’s Seven Coloured Earth Geopark, steep yourself in history at The Martello Tower Museum, stop by Rhumerie de Chamarel, and explore the wealth of natural beauty at Black River Gorges National Park.

Moka — 3 nights

Moka is a village in Mauritius located in the Moka District, the western part of the village also lies in the Plaines Wilhems District. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Trou aux Cerfs and Blue Penny Museum. We've included these beaches for you: Ile aux Cerfs and Flic en Flac Beach. When in Moka, make a side trip to see A Pinch of Salt in Port Louis, approximately Port Louis away. There's much more to do: contemplate the long history of Citadel, pause for some serene contemplation at St Louis Cathedral, and push the limits with Casela Nature Parks.
