Haiti's second city, Cap-Haitien offers an atmosphere at odds with what you'll find in the capital.
On the 25th (Sun), step into the grandiose world of Sans Souci Palace, contemplate the long history of Citadelle Laferrière, and then contemplate the long history of National History Park - Citadel, Sans Souci, Ramiers. On the 26th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: steep yourself in history at Heros de Vertieres, surround yourself with nature on A Paradise Cove Escape and Haitian Village Experience, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Cathedrale Notre Dame de Cap Haitien.

Getting from Jacmel to Cap-Haitien by car takes about 5.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of taxi and bus; or take a bus.
