The state of Victoria crown jewel, Melbourne boasts shaded streets, leafy residential neighborhoods, vibrant street life, and a picturesque city center.
Take a break from Melbourne with a short trip to The Great Ocean Road in Torquay, about 1h 35 min away. Dedicate the 16th (Mon) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's still lots to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Royal Botanic Gardens, take in panoramic vistas at Eureka Skydeck, see the interesting displays at Melbourne Museum, and tour the pleasant surroundings at St. Kilda Beach.
