Big Small Town
The financial hub of Switzerland, Zurich is most often associated with money and banks.Change things up with these side-trips from Zurich: Lucerne (Lake Lucerne, Bourbaki Panorama, &more) and Mt Pilatus (in Kriens). There's still lots to do: appreciate the extensive heritage of Old Town, admire the masterpieces at Museum of Art (Kunsthaus Zurich), wander the streets of Bahnhofstrasse, and contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Zurich.

London, UK to Zurich is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also take a train; or do a combination of car and train. Traveling from London to Zurich, you'll lose 1 hour due to the time zone difference. While traveling from London, expect slightly colder days and about the same nights in Zurich, ranging from highs of 10°C to lows of 3°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 27th (Sun) to allow time to take a train to Bern.

The capital and political center of Switzerland, Bern sits on a peninsula formed by the U-shaped River Aare.Venture out of the city with trips to Ambra Minerals (in Murten) and Interlaken (Harderkulm & Parasailing & Paragliding). There's still lots to do: wander the streets of UNESCO-Altstadt von Bern, admire the masterpieces at Zentrum Paul Klee (Paul Klee Center), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at The Cathedral of Bern, and take in nature's colorful creations at Rose Garden (Rosengarten).

You can take a train from Zurich to Bern in 1.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. In November, plan for daily highs up to 10°C, and evening lows to 1°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 1st (Thu) so you can go by car to Montreux.

Mostly known for its world-renowned jazz festival, Montreux serves as a picturesque lakeside resort town on the Swiss Riviera.Kick off your visit on the 2nd (Fri): play a few rounds at Franck Ollivier Golf Pro, examine the collection at Queen Studio Experience, then step into the grandiose world of Chateau de Chillon, and finally pause for some photo ops at Freddie Mercury Statue.
