The most popular resort in Slovenia, Bled is marked by its iconic church steeple and medieval castle on glacial Lake Bled.
Take a break from the city and head to Vintgar Gorge and Zipline. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Lake Bohinj and Parasailing & Paragliding. Venture out of the city with trips to Kranjska Gora (Prisank Mountain Window, Ajdovska Deklica, &more) and Church of St John the Baptist (in Bohinjsko Jezero). Dusseldorf, Germany to Bled is an approximately 7-hour combination of flight, shuttle, and bus. You can also do a combination of flight and shuttle; or drive. In the north-west part of Slovenia, Bovec sits in an area known for its rich and colorful culture and history.
Step out of the city life by going to Kayaking & Canoeing and Tolmin Gorge. Step off the beaten path and head to Kozjak Waterfall and Planica Valley. There's still lots to do: explore the stunning scenery at Virje Waterfall, appreciate the views at Soča Valley, explore the activities along Source of the Soča River, and witness the site of a historic battle at Ravelnik Open Air Museum.
