Bar Harbor is a town on Mount Desert Island in Hancock County, Maine, United States. Head to Christmas Vacation Shop and A Little Madfor plenty of shopping. Get outdoors at Shore Path and Sand Beach. Step out of Bar Harbor to go to Southwest Harbor and see Quietside Cafe & Ice Cream Shop, which is approximately 32 minutes away. There's still lots to do: step off the mainland to explore Mount Desert Island, look for gifts at Sherman's Books & Stationery, take in the awesome beauty at Cadillac Mountain, and pause for some serene contemplation at St Saviour's Episcopal Church.
