A city of rich Moorish heritage, Seville is the cultural and financial center of southern Spain, and the site of numerous festivals throughout the year.
Get a sense of the local culture at Centro Historico de Sevilla and Plaza de España. There's still lots to do: take some stellar pictures from Catedral de Sevilla, steep yourself in history at Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza, take in nature's colorful creations at Royal Alcázar of Seville, and learn about all things military at Torre del Oro.

Lisbon, Portugal to Seville is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of flight and bus. The time zone difference when traveling from Lisbon to Seville is 1 hour. Expect a daytime high around 38°C in August, and nighttime lows around 23°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Fri) early enough to catch the train to Cordoba.

Andalucía’s thousand-year-old city, Córdoba, was once the capital of both the Roman Empire and the Moorish Kingdom, representing an alluring mix of cultural and political history.
Kick off your visit on the 17th (Sat): get engrossed in the history at Palacio de Viana, make a trip to Patios de Cordoba, take in the views from Roman Bridge, then get to know the fascinating history of Jewish Quarter (Juderia), and finally don't miss a visit to Historic Centre of Cordoba. Here are some ideas for day two: get engrossed in the history at Medina Azahara - Conjunto Arqueológico Madinat al-Zahra, then browse the eclectic array of goods at Mercado Victoria, then steep yourself in history at Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mezquita Cathedral de Cordoba.

Getting from Seville to Cordoba by train takes about an hour. Other options: drive; or take a bus. Expect somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Seville in August: highs in Cordoba hover around 43°C, while lows dip to 22°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 18th (Sun) early enough to go by car to Nerja.

Nerja is a municipality on the Costa del Sol in the province of Málaga in the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. We've included these beaches for you: Burriana Beach and Playa de la Alberquilla. There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Playa de la Cala el Canuelo, make a trip to Balcon de Europa, and stroll through Playa del Molino de Papel.

Drive from Cordoba to Nerja in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and bus; or take a bus. When traveling from Cordoba in August, plan for a bit cooler days in Nerja, with highs around 39°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 22°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Marbella.

Once a village of humble fishermen, Marbella is now one of the most cosmopolitan beach resorts on Spain’s world-famous Costa del Sol, boasting swanky nightclubs, classy hotels, and expensive restaurants.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Thu): explore the historical opulence of Castillo de Gibralfaro, steep yourself in history at Malaga Cathedral, take in the exciting artwork at Art Gallery Gravura, then take a stroll through La Carihuela, and finally take a stroll through Benalmadena Pueblo (The Old Village). On the 23rd (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take a stroll through Marbella Old Quarter, then walk around Parque De La Paloma, and then don't miss a visit to Puerto de Málaga.

You can drive from Nerja to Marbella in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of bus and train. In August, plan for daily highs up to 36°C, and evening lows to 25°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Fri) so you can catcht the bus to Ronda.

Renowned for its deep gorge, the quaint, whitewashed village of Ronda has preserved its charm as an Andalusian country village.
On the 24th (Sat), learn about winemaking at Bodegas Cortijo Morosanto, then learn about winemaking at Bodega Garcia Hidalgo, and then snap pictures at Puente Nuevo. On your second day here, take a memorable tour with La Ciudad, explore the stunning scenery at El Tajo de Ronda, then take a stroll through Old City, and finally view the masterpieces at Scott Simpson Fine Art.

You can take a bus from Marbella to Ronda in 1.5 hours. Another option is to drive. Traveling from Marbella in August, expect nights in Ronda to be about the same, around 23°C, while days are somewhat warmer, around 41°C.
