Your day by day itinerary now includes Blue Lagoon. Kick off your visit on the 10th (Sat): get outside with Outdoor Activities and then indulge in some personalized pampering at Blue Lagoon. Often referred to as Iceland's second city, Akureyri offers an array of cultural attractions in a scenic setting.
Step out of Akureyri to go to Hauganes and see Whale Watching Hauganes, which is approximately 30 minutes away. There's much more to do: take in the dramatic scenery at Goðafoss Waterfall, trot along with a tour on horseback, pause for some serene contemplation at Akureyrarkirkja, and stop by Christmas Garden.
