Baton Rouge is the capital of the U.S. Explore Baton Rouge's surroundings by going to Houmas House Plantation and Gardens (in Darrow), Nottoway Plantation (in White Castle) and Vacherie (Laura Plantation: Louisiana's Creole Heritage Site & Oak Alley Plantation).
