Surrounded by mountain ranges, forests, valleys, beaches, and deserts, the metropolitan area of Los Angeles is home to over 17 million people.
Venture out of the city with trips to Mulholland Drive (in Beverly Hills) and Anaheim (Disneyland Park & Disney California Adventure Park). There's much more to do: take a leisurely stroll along Santa Monica Pier, look and learn at Griffith Observatory, admire the masterpieces at Norton Simon Museum, and kick back and relax at Venice Beach and Boardwalk.

Nicknamed the "Entertainment Capital of the World," Las Vegas sits in the middle of a desert in the southern section of Nevada.
Go for a jaunt from Las Vegas to Boulder City to see Hoover Dam about 50 minutes away. There's lots more to do: explore the striking landscape of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, take in nature's colorful creations at Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, try your luck at Casino At The Venetian, and see the interesting displays at The Mob Museum.

You can fly from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and bus. While traveling from Los Angeles, expect somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Las Vegas, ranging from highs of 87°F to lows of 64°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 15th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel to San Francisco.

San Francisco is a top holiday destination featuring scenic beauty and great ethnic and cultural diversity.
Go for a jaunt from San Francisco to Mill Valley to see Muir Woods National Monument about 48 minutes away. There's lots more to do: snap pictures at Golden Gate Bridge, take in the pleasant sights at Fisherman's Wharf, see the interesting displays at Exploratorium, and appreciate the extensive heritage of Filbert Street Stairs.

Traveling by flight from Las Vegas to San Francisco takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. In May, San Francisco is slightly colder than Las Vegas - with highs of 69°F and lows of 53°F. On the 19th (Wed), you'll have the morning to explore before heading back home.
