Monteverde is all about natural attractions, not surprising for an eco-tourism hotspot known for its cloud forests and rich diversity of animal life.
On the 17th (Thu), identify plant and animal life at Monteverde Frog Pond and then identify plant and animal life at Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve. On the 18th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: meet the residents at The Bat Jungle, identify plant and animal life at Reserva Bosque Nuboso Santa Elena, and then whizz through the canopy at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks.

The rainforest meets the sea at Manuel Antonio National Park, a small but scenic natural preserve on the west coast of Costa Rica.
Take a break from the city and head to River Rafting & Tubing and Villa Vanilla / Rainforest Spices. You'll get in some beach time at Playa Biesanz and Playa Manuel Antonio.
