Quepos

The tourist-oriented town of Quepos marks the entrance for many travelers looking to explore the nearby national park.
You've now added Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary to your itinerary. On the 2nd (Tue), kick your exploration up a notch at Hacienda Baru and then look for all kinds of wild species at Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary. On the 3rd (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: look for gifts at Meli Melo Boutique, then stop by House of Cigars, then stop by Jaime Peligro Book & CD Shop, and finally relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour.

Panama City, Panama to Quepos is an approximately 9.5-hour car ride. You can also fly. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Panama City to Quepos. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 4th (Thu) to allow enough time to take a bus to Gulf of Papagayo.

Kick off your visit on the 5th (Fri): tee off at Four Seasons Golf Club and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa Hermosa. On the 6th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: stop by Souvenirs La gran Nicoya and then see Sea Star CR Sport Fishing and Adventure Tours.

Getting from Quepos to Gulf of Papagayo by bus takes about 7.5 hours. On the 7th (Sun), you'll travel to Tamarindo.
