Glasgow, UK to Hong Kong is an approximately 18- hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of train and flight. The time zone difference moving from Greenwich Mean Time to Hong Kong Time is 8 hours. In July, Hong Kong is much warmer than Glasgow - with highs of 38°C and lows of 32°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel to Beijing.

As the political and cultural capital of China, Beijing stands at the heart of Chinese history, buzzing with the energy of its high population density and centuries of importance.
Kick off your visit on the 9th (Thu): stop by Shard Box Store and then see Mutianyu Great Wall. On the 10th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take an in-depth tour of Lama Temple (Yonghegong), take some stellar pictures from Jingshan Park (Jingshan Gongyuan), then get engrossed in the history at The Palace Museum, and finally contemplate the long history of Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang).

Traveling by combination of flight and subway from Hong Kong to Beijing takes 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train, bus, flight, and subway; or drive. Expect a bit cooler evenings in Beijing when traveling from Hong Kong in July, with lows around 26°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Fri) early enough to travel to Xi'an.

Historians often describe Xi'an, capital city for over a dozen dynasties, as the birthplace of Chinese civilization.
Start off your visit on the 11th (Sat): don't miss a visit to Daxuexixiang Mosque, explore the ancient world of Xi'an City Wall (Chengqiang), and then take an in-depth tour of The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses.

Traveling by combination of subway, flight, and bus from Beijing to Xi'an takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. In July, daily temperatures in Xi'an can reach 39°C, while at night they dip to 26°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 11th (Sat) so you can travel to Guilin.

On the 12th (Sun), Head underground at Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan), explore the activities along Lingjian Stream, and then don't miss a visit to Daxu Old Town.

The home of giant pandas for more than two million years, Chengdu's vast human history cowers in comparison to the natural heritage of the area.
Start off your visit on the 13th (Mon): snap pictures at Anshun Bridge (Dongmen Bridge), then relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, then identify plant and animal life at Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi), and finally get engrossed in the history at Jinsha Site Museum.
