A playground for America’s wealthy families, Lake George was nicknamed "Queen of the American Lakes." While these families often stayed in private country houses, a tourism industry built up around them in the early 20th century facilitated by two YMCAs.
Start off your visit on the 27th (Thu): get your game on at Around the World Miniature Golf, browse the exhibits of Ulysses S. Grant Cottage, then examine the collection at The Saratoga Automobile Museum, then do a tasting at Ledge Rock Hill Winery, and finally fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour.
