Aix-les-Bains, locally called Aix, is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France.Rising from the shores of the largest natural lake of glacial origin in France, the Lac du Bourget, this resort is one of the important French spa towns, and has the largest fresh water marina in France. Kids will enjoy Walibi Rhone-Alpes and Lac du Bourget. Get out of town with these interesting Aix-les-Bains side-trips: Montgenevre (Esf Montgenevre & Luge Monty Express), Lac Leman (in Evian-les-Bains) and Office de Tourisme d'Yvoire (in Yvoire). There's much more to do: glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour, explore the striking landscape of Le Cirque du Fer a Cheval, admire the masterpieces at Musee Faure, and make a trip to La Vieille Ville.
