In north-central Switzerland, Lucerne represents a small city boasting a well-preserved old town.
Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Seebad Eich and Seebad Mit Strand Am Vierwaldstattersee. Step out of the city life by going to Mt Pilatus and Luftseilbahn Wengen-Mannlichen. Explore Lucerne's surroundings by going to Stein am Rhein (in Stein am Rhein), Old Town (in Zurich) and Wyden Badi (in Erlenbach). It doesn't end there: explore the activities along Lake Lucerne and pause for some photo ops at Lion Monument.

Visiting Parasailing & Paragliding and Aare Gorge will get you outdoors. Step off the beaten path and head to Lauterbrunnen Valley Waterfalls and Maennlichen. Venture out of the city with trips to Reichenbach Falls (in Meiringen) and Giessbachfälle (in Brienz). Best known as home the Matterhorn mountain, Zermatt serves as a chic ski resort town of the Swiss Alps.
Kick off your visit on the 20th (Mon): take in panoramic vistas at Gornergrat, then hike along 5 Lakes Walk, and then don't miss a visit to Mountaineers' Cemetery. Located in the popular holiday region of Ticino, Lugano is the largest Italian-speaking town in Switzerland.
