Zermatt — 4 nights

Best known as home the Matterhorn mountain, Zermatt serves as a chic ski resort town of the Swiss Alps.
Take a break from Zermatt with a short trip to Hangebrucke Furgangen-Muhlebach in Ernen, about 1h 25 min away. There's still lots to do: take in panoramic vistas at Gornergrat, trek along Marmot Trail, explore the activities along Riffelsee, and don't miss a visit to Walk of Climb.

Take a train from Interlaken to Zermatt in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 28th (Wed) to allow time for the car ride to Zurich.

The financial hub of Switzerland, Zurich is most often associated with money and banks.
You've now added Lake Lucerne to your itinerary. On the 28th (Wed), get great views at Rhine Falls and then explore the activities along Lake Zurich. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 29th (Thu): contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Lucerne.
