One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Visiting Bukhansan National Park and Cheonggyecheon Stream will get you outdoors. Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace and Hwaseong Fortress for their historical value. When in Seoul, make a side trip to see Seoul Grand Park in Gwacheon, approximately Gwacheon away. Spend the 5th (Sat) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's still lots to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Bongeunsa Temple, stroll around Haneul Park, appreciate the extensive heritage of Changgyeonggung Palace, and see the interesting displays at National Folk Museum of Korea.
