A big city with a small-town feel, Portland is home to the country's biggest rose test garden, perched on a hill overlooking downtown.
Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Sokol Blosser Winery and Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum. Escape the urban bustle at Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge and Multnomah Falls. Go for a jaunt from Portland to Washougal to see Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge about 40 minutes away.
