Windermere

Windermere is the largest natural lake in England. Get some cultural insight at Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's House and Lakeland Motor Museum. Take a break from the city and head to Predator Experience and Tarn Hows. When in Windermere, make a side trip to see The World of Beatrix Potter in Bowness-on-Windermere, approximately 36 minutes away. There's lots more to do: see the sights as you ascend with a climbing tour, contemplate the long history of Stott Park Bobbin Mill, contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Windermere, and step into the grandiose world of Wray Castle.
