— 10 nights

Big Apple

Writer Pearl Buck once called New York City “a place apart,” and this giant urban center remains unlike any other in the world.
Museum-lovers will appreciate 9/11 Memorial and The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Get some cultural insight at Times Square and Ellis Island. You'll find plenty of places to visit near New York City: A Mano Galleries (in Lambertville), Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge (in Oceanville) and Philadelphia (Kelly Drive & Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts). There's much more to do: wander the streets of Fifth Avenue, admire the masterpieces at Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, go for a walk through Central Park, and stroll through Hamilton Grange National Memorial.

To see maps, other places to visit, ratings, and more tourist information, you can read our New York City online day trip planner.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are La Guardia Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport and John F Kennedy International Airport. In March, plan for daily highs up to 11°C, and evening lows to 1°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 30th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
