Kick off your visit on the 21st (Thu): take in the spiritual surroundings of Eikando Zenrinji Temple, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, and then contemplate the long history of Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 22nd (Fri): steep yourself in history at Sanjusangendo Temple, explore the historical opulence of Nijo Castle, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kinkaku-ji, and finally don't miss a visit to Nishiki Market Shopping District.

Take a train from Tokyo to Kyoto in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. In November, plan for daily highs up to 19°C, and evening lows to 10°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Fri) to allow time to travel to Ishigaki.

Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
Kick off your visit on the 23rd (Sat): enjoy the sand and surf at Kondoi Beach, find your balance on the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, then enjoy the sand and surf at Yonehara Beach, and finally enjoy the sea views from Cape Hirakubozaki.

You can do a combination of train and flight from Kyoto to Ishigaki in 6 hours. Alternatively, you can fly. Traveling from Kyoto in November, expect nights in Ishigaki to be much warmer, around 25°C, while days are somewhat warmer, around 31°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Sat) to allow enough time to ride a ferry to Iriomote-jima.

Taketomicho Iriomote-Jima stands as the second largest island in Okinawa.
Start off your visit on the 24th (Sun): scramble along the landscape with a canyoning and rapelling tour, then take in the dramatic scenery at Pinaisara Falls, and then get outside with Ida no Hama Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 25th (Mon): head off the coast to Iriomote Island, head outdoors with Hoshisuna Beach, and then find your balance on the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area.

You can ride a ferry from Ishigaki to Iriomote-jima in an hour. In November, daytime highs in Iriomote-jima are 31°C, while nighttime lows are 25°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 25th (Mon) so you can ride a ferry to Miyakojima.

A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
Step off the beaten path and head to Sunayama Beach and Yabiji. Get outdoors at Aragusuku Beach and Scuba & Snorkeling. The adventure continues: paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour, kick back and relax at Yonaha Maehama Beach, snap pictures at Irabu Ohashi, and head off the coast to Shimojiiima Island.

Ride a ferry from Iriomote-jima to Miyakojima in 4 hours. Expect a daytime high around 30°C in November, and nighttime lows around 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 29th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
