Reykjavik, the world's most northerly capital, effortlessly combines small-town charm with heaps of big city energy.
Get out of town with these interesting Reykjavik side-trips: Thingvellir (Thingvellir National Park & Thingvallakirkja church) and Blue Lagoon (in Grindavik). Spend the 15th (Mon) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour.
