Lahaina, Maui

Once the booming capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the tropical paradise of Lahaina still remains one of Maui's top vacation attractions, providing both culture and recreation.
On the 10th (Wed), kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, enjoy the sand and surf at Ka'anapali Beach, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Lahaina United Methodist Church. On your second day here, identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas and then enjoy the sand and surf at Wailea Beach.

You can fly from Honolulu to Lahaina in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and ferry; or do a combination of flight and bus. In July in Lahaina, expect temperatures between 86°F during the day and 73°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel to Kailua-Kona.
