Many urban centers call themselves "Garden City," but thanks to its many manicured parks filled with native and exotic plants, Victoria probably deserves than moniker more than most.
Step off the beaten path and head to Salt Spring Island Cheese Company and Scenic Marine Route. Explore Victoria's surroundings by going to Fishing Charters & Tours (in Sooke) and Duncan (Cowichan-Chemainus Historic Scenic Route & The Raptors). There's still lots to do: take in the waterfront activity at Ogden Point Terminal & Breakwater, make a trip to Government Street, walk around Clover Point Park, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Christ Church Cathedral.

Home to one of the largest ski areas in North America, former logging town of Whistler provides activities and entertainment for avid nature lovers and adrenaline seekers.
Kick off your visit on the 13th (Fri): contemplate the waterfront views at Cheakamus River, grab your bike and head to Lakeside Park, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Harmony Lake Trail. Here are some ideas for day two: stroll around Alta Lake Park, don't miss a visit to Whistler Suspension Bridge, then explore the world behind art at Mountain Galleries at the Fairmont, and finally explore the activities along Wedgemount Lake.

You can do a combination of flight and bus from Victoria to Whistler in 4 hours. Other options are to do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry and bus. Expect slightly colder evenings in Whistler when traveling from Victoria in September, with lows around 44°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 14th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Vancouver.

Known as "Hollywood North," Vancouver boasts one of the largest film/television industries in the world, second only to Los Angeles and New York.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Vancouver Mysteries and George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary. Step out of Vancouver with an excursion to Rocky Point Park in Port Moody--about 38 minutes away. Dedicate the 16th (Mon) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's lots more to do: admire all the interesting features of Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium, get thoroughly spooked out with a ghost and vampire tour, and enjoy the sand and surf at Third Beach.

Traveling by car from Whistler to Vancouver takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a shuttle; or take a bus. Traveling from Whistler in September, Vancouver is somewhat warmer at night with lows of 54°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 17th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
