Adigrat is a city and separate woreda in the Tigray Region of Ethiopia. When in Adigrat, make a side trip to see Abuna Yemata Guh church in Hawzen, approximately 34 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: make a trip to Monastery of Debre Damo and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Cathedral of the Holy Saviour.

Kick off your visit on the 4th (Mon): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at New Church of St. Mary of Zion, delve into the distant past at The Ruins of Aksum, take in the spiritual surroundings of Northern Stelae Field, then steep yourself in history at King Bazen's Tomb, and finally explore the historical opulence of Chapel of the Tablet. On the 5th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: explore the ancient world of Queen of Sheba Palace, don't miss a visit to King Ezana's inscription, browse the eclectic array of goods at Saturday market, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Arabtu Ensessa Church, then explore and take pictures at Queen of Sheba's Bath, and finally don't miss a visit to Tombs of Kings Kaleb and Gebre Meskal.
