The largest city on Canada's eastern coastline, Halifax boast a rich maritime history and occupies a strategically important location with one of the world's greatest natural harbors.
Kick off your visit on the 7th (Sat): take an in-depth tour of Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, then brush up on your military savvy at Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, and then visit a coastal fixture at Peggy's Cove Lighthouse. On the next day, get some jogging in at Point Pleasant Park, then shop like a local with Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, then learn about all things military at Halifax Citadel National Historic Site of Canada, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Paul's Church.
